Java Runtime Environment (JRE) 6 Update 5

Thanx folks. I just went to control panel, double clicked on Java icon and
did update. After it installed, without the toolbar, didn't want that, I just
went to add/remove and took out version 3. Went very smoothly.

Have a great day all...:)

by golly that works! (or at least it did for me in Vista SP1, with version
3 installed. I've been ignoring 4 since I only saw it offered once via
automatic update. Guess I'll do a little work with this one.)

Thanks!

Interesting! I tried this. The little Java icon appeared in the system tray,
and said it was updating, and my firewall let it through to do so ... but it
didn't update. Several tries - no luck.

So I did my usual routine - uninstall the whole deal, and install the new
package. All seems well.
