Itunes - Not enough access privileges

I am having trouble with ITunes. When I try to sync my Ipod or cosolidate my
library I get an error message "you do not have enough access priveleges for
this operation." I am the only one using the computer and have enabled
access priveleges to my Music folder. Still no luck. Anyone who had had the
same problem and figured this out please help. Thanks. Itunes support has
not been helpful.

I am having the same problems...have you found a solution? For some reason
when I get that error, my Outlook opens up.

I have iTunes 7.1. I removed the old version, and deleted all entries in the
registry for iTunes, iPod, and Quicktime. I also disabled User Access
Control. I don't get the Outlook thing anymore b/c I set iTunes to not sync
my Calender or Contacts. I downloaded the new 7.1 and installed it. I'm still
getting the error...

I had the same problem and here is the fix. If you have any Music in root
folder of the Vista Music folder move them to the iTunes Music folder
because if you open iTunes and right click on one of those songs that are in
the Vista Music root folder and right click it and get info on that song
they are still pointing to the WinXP Music folder path for some reason. Once
you move them to the iTunes folder it will change the path to the iTunes
folder and the it will sync.

I wound up completly removing iTunes, and any mention of it in the registry.
Once that was done, I downloaded it again and re-installed it. Now it syncs
fine w/ all my music in the public music folder.
