The recently released version of iTunes for windows seems
to interfere with hardware or their drivers under windows
xp. at least i experienced that my dvd/cd-rom drive in my
ibm thinkpad t20 became unusable after the installation
of iTunes ("This device cannot start. (Code 10)"). The
solutions proposed by the troubleshooter like diver
update or uninstall/reinstall did not help. Uninstall of
iTunes rectified the problem - and re-install again
caused the same problem.
As a working cd-drive is needed together with iTunes to
rip CDs, any idea how to make them work together would be
very much appreciated.
