Is there a System Tray icon indicating Defender is active?

Thank you -- Windows Defender appears to be a superb update to an already
great program.
Software Explorer is a big help -- I found and disabled three
resource-hungry programs which I do not want to automatically start up.

One question -- when upgrading to Windows Defender Beta 1 from Windows
AntiSpyware Beta 2, the "Bullseye" icon disappeared from my system tray and
desktop, but was not replaced with anything.
Is there an icon that is supposed to appear in the system tray to indicate
that Defender is active?
I cannot find any setting to activate this.
I am running...
Windows Defender Version: 1.1.1051.0
Engine Version: 1.1.1185.0
Signature Version: 1.13.1272.4
Thanks...

Hello Alan,

I beleive that is normal. Windows Defender is configured to be hidden. If
you look at the startup value it is set to:

"C:\Program Files\Windows Defender\MSASCui.exe" -hide

Thank you, Eric!
Is there an easy way to change this, so an icon WILL show in the system tray?
I have many friends who will want to upgrade, and they'll be nervous without
an icon confirming it's active.
