Is it possible to do the following....

F

FlipCoin

I wanted to create an access form that will house the various Excel templates
that I use that will be opened on the background when a button from another
form is clicked. By clicking one of my report buttons, it will then open up
the templates form. I wanted to then reference one of the OLEUnbound objects
(Excel Templates) in the templates form and make a copy of it on my local
drive. I wanted to this so I do not have to update this templates in
different locations. At least when a user clicks and runs a report, he/she is
using the most current version of the template.

Please help me! Thanks!

Not sure why you'd need a database to help do this, but maybe I'm not
understanding.

If I wanted to be sure my users were using the latest version of an
application, I'd provide a "Templates" folder on the network and only have
the latest, most current version placed there.
