Iomega ZIP 100 Parallel and choppy video

Hi

When playing back video (through either TV card or DVD), I experience
choppy video, dropped frames every few seconds. If I 'disable' my
Iomega Parallel 100 zip drive through Device manager, the problem
disappears, though this is not very satisfactory. I have tried the
slow transfer patch that Iomega distribute but this does nothing for
the problem. Anyone got a fix for this ? I don't paticularly want to
have to install IomegaWare as I've heard thats its rather bloated and
full of junk.

All the best

Is the video on your hard drive or on that obsolete Zip
drive?

On DVD and some video clips burnt onto CD. I have also copied the
clips to the hard disk and it makes no difference.
