Internet Connection Sharing.

Wondering if anyone can help. I have a desktop machine that has 2 nics in
it. I have the one plugged into my broadbadn modem, and the other connected
to my laptop. What I want to do is share the internet connection of my
desktop machine to my laptop.

Thru cable is used to plug desktop into broadband modem. Cross-over cable
is used to connect laptop to desktop. I am not sure if I am suppose to use
the cross-over cable, but some stuff I have found said I should.

Hope someone else has tried to do this.

Get a DSL/Cable Router such as the Linksys BEFSR41. Life will be so much easier
and their are so many benefits to such a device.

Somehow I managed to get it working. Not quite sure what was going wrong.
I am going to be getting a Linksys Wireless 802.11g setup in the next little
while. I was just trying to get things working to be able to synchronize
my laptop with my desktop machine.

Thanks very much though.
