Internal Error: Disk group has no valid configuration copies

I have a hard disk that is installed in an external USB2.0/Firewire
enclosure, and it used to work fine. However, when I recently plugged it in
and went to reactivate it in Disk Manager, I get the error message "INTERNAL
error - Disk group has no valid configuration copies." Supposedly, I can
correct the LDM pointer somehow. How do I do this?
