Process name: persistence Module
Product: Intel(R) Common User Interface or igfxpers.exe
Company: Intel Corporation (
www.intel.com)
File: igfxpers.exe
Apparently has to do with nvidia class video cards and is not necessary. I doubt it is the culprit but I no longer use it.

Try searching for "persistance module" in Help and Support.
Maybe someone can help. Maybe someone on either of the other forums (not
newsgroups) that you have posted the question to can help.

What does this do? I disabled it to try to find what is crashing my Vista
installation every Friday. Harddisk churns and it crashed with BSOD 12
times and suddenly at 450pm it stopped; now 6:39 and no more problems. Rock
solid. What goes on? This is not anything that I schedule or virus
protection; nothing of a program I know about.
