hello. can anybody help me? i've just built myself a nice new computer with a
gig of memory in it but when i try to run a game, it tells me that i haven't
enough memory. i havent installed anything apart from xp and some drivers and
stuff from the motherboard cd. its also scrolling quite jerkily when ive got
windows open.

ive checked in system bit in control panel and its recognising the gig of
memory so why wont it work for he game?!

be most appreciative if someone could help, its driving me mad!

thanks!

Hi

What else have you got running in the background?

It is not referring to RAM, it is referring to Virtual Memory, or also
called Page File. Go to the below and set the minimum for 1Gb.
Rightclick the My Computer icon on Desktop and click Properties.
Click the Advanced tab>Performance Settings>Advanced tab>Virtual memory.
