Installing third-party HD drivers on WinXP 32bit on a laptop without floppy

Dear all,

I need to reinstall my windows XP on my laptop and I just discovered
that I need to install the SATA drivers. I found the drivers and
created the usual floppy but the problem is that my laptop doesn't
have a floppy reader.
I expected that the windows XP setup would recongized the driver on
the USB key but that doesn't work.
Do you know if there is any alternative method? I would like to avoid
to buy an external driver for one single use!

Thank you very much

If it won't recognize them on a flash drive then you'll need to get an
external USB floppy drive.

Ok, thank you
Could this be due to the fact that my version of WinXP was shipped in
2005. Is there any possibility that a more recent version will contain
the SATA drivers embedded in the setup CD?

Thank you

I don't know. If I had to guess, I would say no.
