Installing Drivers for Visioneer 8100 scanner

I have been trying to install drivers for a visioneer
8100 scanner(They are the lastest from Visioneer).
Everytime I start the the install I get this
message: "You do not have access to make the required
system configuation modification. Please rerun this
installation from an administrator account." Well guess
what it is administrator account. I have tried safe mode
using the administrator account. I have run out of Ideas
on how to get this to load. Has anyone out there seen
this type of problem and found a solution? Thanks in
advance.

Check their support. Sometimes applications are badly written and require
that they be installed as local administrator - not an admin-equivalent
account, or a renamed administrator account.

I was unfortunate enough to get the XP update to install
for my 8100. Since then I have had blue screens, errors,
lockups etc. Still trying to fix it up. I do not think
that the driver is atcually XP compatible. Additionally
the version of PaperPort is a real bust on my XP. If it is
not too late return the scanner and run.
