We have a old application that is running on 98 and NT4 systems that is
unable to install on XP.
We had a system go down today and I was setting up a NT4 system. I made the
mistake of installing IE 6 SP1 onto it which updated the active X
components. I am not able to uninstall IE per the KB (Run setup.exe in
c:\program files\iexplorer) and I can't simply reinstall the older version
over ie6
So now the application fails to work with an activex error saying it can't
find a certain function. W/o having to reinstall the system, is there any
way to install an older activeX? If not, where is the docs on riping IE 6
out and reinstalling IE5?
If we are able to install an older version of ActiveX, we should be able to
then use XP systems
THANKS!!!
