When inserting another word document into a word document I am working on,
such as a photopage document or template file that I created with footers,
how can I get the inserted document to include its footers when inserted into
the new document?

Hi =?Utf-8?B?Um9iYg==?=,

You'd need to insert a section break (Next Page type would be best) at the
BEGINNING of the document you want to insert. Go into the second section (the
existing text) headers/footers and deactivate "Same as Previous".

An alternative would be to go into Word's OUTLINE view, display the "Master
document" toolbar and insert the second file as a sub-document; the headers and
footers will be retained automatically (Word will insert the necessary Section
breaks for you). You can then use the "Delete sub-document" button to
incorporate the actual text into your document (break the link to the original
file).
