insert dates from website to access

hello,

I'm programming a website in visual studio with ASP.NET.
I have a formview to insert data from the website into my access database.
But the people who wants to use the website have to type the date as YYYY-MM-DD, otherwise it doesn't work.
can I make it possible for people to type the date as they want?
