Information sought: LCD Monitor too bright

Craig

I have just installed 15 Philips LCD monitors and accompany software
in the office (model 170S4) and even though I have reduced the
contrast and brightness to zero, they are all still too bright (not
blindingly, but uncomfortably enough to wash out colours a little).

Can anyone suggest a solution (other than fitting anti-glare screens
which really is not acceptable for a new piece of equipment).

Thanks for any advice.

It could be the gamma, brightness, contrast set by your video card. you
need to get into the settings for your card.
The normal way for most cards is right click on desktop, goto
properties, click on the settings tab, then the advance button
somewhere there should be someway of changing the settings.
