I hope someone can help me. When I open a browser window (IE), especially by clicking on a trusted email link, the outline of a page will appear but either takes forever for the web page to open or it simply freezes and I have to do a ctrl-alt-delete and close it and start over. If I am able to get a page to open, I'll almost always get a message that says, "The instruction at "0x00000010" referenced memory at "0x00000010". The memory could not be "read"." Then I have the chooice to click OK to terminate the program or click cancel to debug the program. Also, at times, when the outline of the web page is there but won't open for a period of time and I try to X it out, the page will close and the error message will be under it on my desktop. I've run my Ad-Aware program, my RegCure program and my XoftSpySE program, hoping to clear it out, but it hasn't helped. Does anyone have any helpful suggestions? Thanks!

I am on IE7. When I first clicked on the link on the email to open the forum I received an error message that said "Internet Explorer has encountered a problem and needs to close." I clicked on the details link and got "Error signature. AppName iexplore.exe App/Ver 7.0.6000.16441. Mod Name unknown Mod Ver 0.0.0.0 Offset 00000000."

"Error signature. AppName iexplore.exe App/Ver 7.0.6000.16441. Mod Name unknown Mod Ver 0.0.0.0 Offset 00000000."
Looks like an 'add-on' hiccup ... "unknown Mod Ver" ... added anything new lately ?

When I first begin seeing this message was after I removed Pocket Real Estate from my computer and re-downloaded it, since I was having problems with syncronizing it. (I'm a Realtor.) From there, it just got worse, with other things popping up, which is when I purchased and downloaded the RegCure and XoftSpySE programs. They stopped the other pop-ups but the original error message remains. Since then, I have removed and re-installed Pocket Real Estate twice on that computer. It will now sync; however, the error message still appears continually, and my computer runs extremely slowly when I'm using IE.

Hmmm, does sound suspicious ... just to make sure it ain't a 'nastie' of some sort, download HijackThis and post a log for me to look at. :thumb:

Just out of interest, and it helps, can you give us some more info on the speck of the PC & Anti-Nasties progs & other programs you run. :)

OK, there are a few "unknowns" in the list, I would still get HJT to fix them all ... if, however, a program no longer functions as it did, simply re-install it.

I cannot be held responsible for any mistakes made in removing any suggested items.

Get HJT to "fix" the following ...

C:\Program Files\Nova Development\Greeting Card Factory Deluxe 6.0\ReminderApp.exe
C:\Children's Educational Network\Noahs Net\ProcessMonitor.exe
C:\Pocket Real Estate\App\HNDsync.exe (this is being flagged as a nastie)
C:\Program Files\Risco ReaderKEY2 Client\rk2client.exe

... nothing really bad, but I would suggest using an on-line AV scanner to double check ... McAfee is NOT on my wish list. ;)
