Incrementing all numbers in a column

This is probably really easy to do however I am just learning excel and
I cannot seem to figure out how to do it. What I want to do is to
increment a column of data that represents total number of weeks that
the equipment I service has been operating by one. I want to be able
to perform this function at the start of every week (manually or
automatically it dosent matter)so that I can have a rough idea when the
equipment needs to be serviced. The values in this column are all
different based on how long each piece of equipment has been operating
and are linked to another column that performs a calculation which
gives me the total amout of time (in hours) the equipment has been in
use. Also from time to time I replace equipment that has failed with
new equipment and I want to be able to simply change the "weeks in
service" value to zero and start over. If anyone out there can help
out with this I would very much appreciate it. Thanks

You can put a 1 in a cell and copy it then highlight the numbers you want to
increase and edit paste special add,
you can also use dateif to do the weeks for you automaticlly, maybe
something like this, with your date started in service in A4, format as
general or a number, =DATEDIF($A$4,NOW(),"d")/7 , for more info on dateif
have a look here
