Incrementing a cell based on another cell's value

MS Excel: Incrementing a cell based on another cell's value

I would like to know how to increment one cell's value (say A1) by one every time another cell (say G1) is equal to zero. G1's value will fluctuate daily based on updated values elsewhere in the spreadsheet. I am only interested in how often it is equal to zero. Any ideas?
