I just bought a new Vaio with OE6 version 6.00.280.1123.
I have been trying to port my folders and archived
messages from an older Dell with OE6 (same version).
Problem:
I exported the folders and messages to form a .pst file.
I then placed it in a folder on the vaio and used the
import wizard. Here are the steps:
1. File->Import->Messages
2. Select the email program to import from: Microsoft
Outlook Express 6
3. Specify the location where there are a couple options
a) Import mail from an OE6 Identity
b) Import mail from a OE6 store directory
4. No matter what options I pick on this pop-up, the next
pop-up asks me to navigate to the folder. I bnav to the
folder containing the .pst, select it and say OK
5. I always get the same response
"No messages can be found in this folder or another
application is running that has the required files open.
PLease select another folder or try closing applications
that may have these files open"
HELP....any ideas?
