I have been using outlook for years, and IT savvy

I have a domain on wich I have pop server and multiple accounts. If I send from my default email account to another of my accounts on that same server ( different autentication) I am not able to get the message delivered. Messages do show in my send items folder

Here are some of the test I have done
- tested the account setups through outlooks "test account settings" - succesful
- send message from A@ domain.com to B@ domain.com. (send and receive
Message then appears to be succesfuly sent and shows in send items folder but it never actualy gets delivered to the other mailbox (B@ domain.co
- Same test with exact same configuration on Outlook express ( accounts were imported from outlook express
this works fine ! message is send and retrieved from the other mail account
- Tried all authentication schemes in the Outlook 2003 but still no success
- Deleted receiveing account (B@ domain.com) from Outook and sent a test message. again it shows in send items however when I verify inbox on account B@ domain.com (through web mail) it appears it was not delivered. -even hours later

In short Outlook 2003 handles sending to pop 3 different then expected and does not give me errors of some kind to indicate it actualy is not able to sen

PS I searched and read help and online support for any articles that might be helpful.

Has anybody else seen this ? any other trouble shooting suggestions ?

Forgot to note that I AM able to send mail to any other email address not on the same server I am sending from !!

I've found your message when looked into group to see if
mine had appeared there.

Have got absolutely the same problem with Outlook 2002
SP2. Looks like somehow Outlook checks who is logged in
and innocently thinks that other accounts emails are none
of my buisness...

Peter I noticed yours too, looks like the same issue. I am very currious how to get arround this. I will be monitoring both our postings ;-)

Turn on logging - tools, options, other, advanced.
Do you manage the mail server? If so, turn on logging on the server too.

Send a message then review the logs.

Are you sending mail to another account or trying to check mail on two
accounts?

Thats great that I can do logging. However I can'rt seem to be able to find the log..

I did searches in ofline and online help and even the online MS knowledge base, which produced a nice article on how to turn it on
Microsoft Knowledge Base Article - 83105

But still I have not been able to find the log. I have done searches for .log, looked in the event manager and even for files created during the exact time frame I did the test. And Yes I did a restart of outlook after I made the loging selection ;-

I appreciate your help and wish this was all I needed. Can you give me another hint

Yes I am sending mail to another account see my description of the proble
- sending mail from account (e-mail address removed) to account (e-mail address removed)

I have tried all kinds of configurations even with removing any additional accounts in Outlook and then send. I have then used my webmail to verify if the mail actualy did arrive. For more details on the tests I did see my original post

Please let me know if I can provide you with any more info or if this is still not clear enough

Found it ... C:\Documents and Settings\%username%\Local Settings\Temp\OPMLog.log ..

would be good if this was documented..
But perhaps it better to redirect to this directory that also exist in that location, I have a suspicion that that should be the default fot outlook logging. Once that is corrected then it probably should be documented ..

Anyway I am happy I found it reviewing the logs now but have not found anything obvious

It gets even stranger... I have found that if I select the option on the message to get a delivery receipt I AM able to get the message succesfuly delivered. (the actual delivery receipt however do not arrive ...
