IEEE1394 Firewire problem + AGP4X not enabled

I am using a Gigabyte GVXC7-4x Socket 370 motherboard running Windows XP Home Edition with 512MB PC133 SDRAM.
Full Specs -- 40GB IBM 7200RPM HARDDRIVE
4.3GB IBM HARDDRIVE
Soundblaster Live! Value 4.1 Channel
Intel Pentium !!! 866 MHZ
512MB RAM (DIMM0: 128MB, DIMM1: 128MB, DIMM2: 256MB)
SMC Networks Network Card
Creative Nvidia Geforce4 Ti 4200 64MB
300W Power Supply Unit
Question One:
-Whenever i plug in my Agere Chipset Firewire IEEE1394 host card, my computer will turn back on by itself unknowingly whenever i shutdown(As in PowerDown then PowerUP AGAIN). When it is plugged out, it is back to normal. There is no IRQ conflict in the device manager. Everything just work normally. Camcorder Detection was fine. Why??? It applies to Windows Millennium Edition...

Question Two:
-My previous card was an Nvidia Riva TNT2-M64 32MB graphic card, running at AGP2X. Then i bought the Creative nVidia Geforce 4 Ti 4200 64MB graphics card, plug it in. Then comes the problem. Why isn't it not running at AGP4X? My BIOS stated it as running at AGP4X, the default option. Drivers are fully installed.

Please Rectify my problems. I am from Singapore.

You also need to install the Gigabyte motherboard drivers in order to get
the AGP slot dirvers. I believe that the drivers should be the VIA 4 in 1
Hyperion drivers.

If you don't get a good answer here try:

I had the same problem with my firewire card ie shutdown problem. I rectified it by going into bios and disabling usb controller and then inserting the PCI firewire card. The computer could then shutdown properly. Then go into bios and enable USB controller. It worked for me

Still no luck after installing the VIA 4in1 Hyperion Drivers. AGP4X still not activated. Any other solutions
