IE7 won't load, nothing happens after double click

I have a laptop that installed IE7 fine and worked fine for several
days. However, this is the 3rd time that all of sudden, IE7 just won't
load no matter what I do. For the previous two, I had to reinstall IE7
and then it worked fine again. This time, I would like to find a
permanent solution for it. Does anybody know what would cause this
problem? It always works fine right after I installed it, but fails to
respond after a few days. I tried virus scan, spyware scan but both
turned up nothing.

The next time it happens try opening task manager, find and stop all
"iexplore.exe" processes then try starting IE again.
