IE6 Invalid Syntax Error But Not On AOL Browser

Have WinXP and IE6.0 Service Pack 1. I try to bring up a web site while
I am on AT&T and get the message "invalid syntax error" but when I sign onto
AOL through AT&T and I have no problems with the web site that I had
problems with while on AT&T.
Any thoughts or suggestions. Sort of a newbie with IE6.
