IE6 and WindowsUpdate and Hotmail problems

I can't view Critical and XP Updates. When I try to view
the updates I get the following error message "The Page
cannot be displayed... The page you are looking for is
currently unavailable. The website might be experiencing
technical difficulties or you may need to adjust your
browser settings". I also cannot view mail in Hotmail and
Yahoo accounts for the same reason. I also couldn't post
this message from my PC.

I have cleared cookies, temp files etc and my virus
protection is up to date. I was also going to try to
reinstall IE6 but it doesn't appear in add or remove
programs.

Any help will be greatly appreciated.

destroy from safer-networking.org and update and scan on
easy mode and use immunize and block bad pages.
also ad-aware from lavasoftusa.com update and scan.
free antivirus from grisoft.com scroll down to center and
on right side.
