IE will not close, and TAB key doesnt work while browsing

[Help Please]

I am having two problems, the common denominator is
MIcrosoft IE 6.0. First, I can not close a IE window. I
can click any which way on the 'X', but nothing happens.
The Minimize and the Maximize works. This is for windows
I open and pop ups.
The second problem I am having I can not use my TAB Key
while using IE. I use the TAB key to move through just
about everything, and I can not while using IE. EVEN to
fill out a simple form like the one I had to fill out to
post this Message. Please help!

There's a good possibility that this is being caused by a third-party
program (adware, spyware, parasite)

Download, install, *update* and run these two programs:
Ad-aware from http://www.lavasoft.de/software/adaware/
Spybot from http://security.kolla.de/

Search for common parasites at http://www.doxdesk.com/parasite/

If not caused by malware, consider disabling (for diagnostic purposes)
legitimate programs running in the background which might be interacting
with IE- security, antivirus, etc. You may have to uninstall then reinstall
a program.
