I don't know if this will help, but go back 3 pages to a
thread started by 'cabdo' on 12/23/03 @ 10:31 am, and
read Tony's first reply to that thread.
and Good Luck!

I have the same problem described by Bob. For some reason I have a gap in
the newgroup messages and cannot find the message thread you referenced.

I am very interested in sorting out the problem and would appreciate it if
you could copy and paste the message into this thread.

Thanks

Jeff

Here are all of the messages from that thread, I inserted
some blank lines at the beginning of Tony's message. I
don't know whether your flash error is the same as his,
or how to find that support page that he got a link to in
his 'more information.' hope this helps.

Thanks for the help!
I got some advice from another board which is similar to
your suggestion (I think?)
He said to disable my virus software's 'webtrap'
component, which is the website activex and java
filtering app. I did this before I saw your advice and it
seemed to stop the errors. I did what you said to do,
too.. (double redundancy is good)
Thanks again :)

Try this: Tools > Internet Options > Advanced > Browsing
Uncheck the Enable 3rd party browser extensions

If this clears your problem then find out who the culprit (s) is/are with
these tools.

Let AD-Aware Scan your system for advertising Spyware
http://www.lavasoftusa.com

and:

SpyBot-S&D
http://security.kolla.de/

p.s Reset the 3rd party browser setting.

More: There's a good possibility that this is being caused by a third-party
program (adware, spyware, parasite).
