ICF/ICS port blocking

hi,

Can someone help me on a hard tcp/ip problem...

I got ZA firewall for a while instead of ICF activated but always have the
ICS activated. Everything was ok until I upgraded ZA to v5 (i think).
With v4 installed, i got ftp and http servers working ok for both usb wan
adapter and ethernet card. I decided to uninstall ftp server (after v5
upgrade of ZA)...
Later, i decided to re-install ftp server... and only local connections were
allowed...
later again, as http server was working ok but had to be updated, i decided
to update it, and it needs to be uninstalled before... And after re-install,
same problem as ftp server... only connections from local network are
allowed...

I decided to uninstall ZoneAlarm, have tried to configure ICF instead, but
it didn't work...
I decided to desactivate ICF and ... what a surprise.... all ports are
blocked (with no ICF activated at all)
I tried to desactivate ICS... and the same... all ports are blocked

Now, after long tests, only ICMP, and IGMP headers seem to be allowed for my
internet connection (usb wan adapter)

I do not think the wan adapter has a problem, as it not comes with
router/firewall function inside...

I think there a problem (maybe a malfunction) on specific conditions with
TCP/IP protocol implementation...

I don't know how to manually restablish initial settings (netsh reset
commands didn't help me)

I'm very tired of this problem, many other applications are used on this
computer and formatting and re-installing WinXP doesn't satisfy me... maybe I
did it too much times (for other reasons)...

I forget to tell that i alreadty ran netsh reset commands, delete all reg
keys concerning ZoneLabs & Sygate, and also run winsockXPfix, but no one of
these actions resolved my problem...

System restore had not help me because the restore point that i had to use
has been suppressed by newer restore points...

All ideas are welcomed...

Thanks.
