This announcement of the Canterwood chipset brings the introduction of the 800MHz FSB processors, a 66MHz addition to the existing Northwood family. The new 800MHz FSB processors feature HT, which Intel has been touting as a multi-tasking benefit. However, the biggest change from the i850E/i845PE family, aside from the Dual Channel DDR support, is the official support for Native Serial ATA.
