I need the rank of groups in the Field

Dear citizen,

I need the rank numbers on the separate field for each group in the field.
That is one group would begin with running rank number "1" "2" "3" ... till
the end of that group and begin another group with the same new rank numbers
... till the end of that second group.. now to the third with the same new
rank numbers till the end of that third .. to do all this till the last
group. I want to excerpt only "1" "2 "3" "4" "5" "6" "7" "8" "9" of each of
those groups.
