I have a logo in my email signature, but don't want to send attach

I have a logo (bmp file) in my email signature file. Whenever I send an
email, an attachment (image001.png) with the logo is also sent. Is there a
way to set it up so that this won't happen?

In order for you to send a logo, this must happen. Happens no matter which
software you are using, or which ISP. The picture cannot just be sent in the
email, only text can, anything else goes as an attachment. If you really
can't stand this, you can host the picture on a web site, and then set up
HTML code to download the image from that site, no file attachment required.

Hi Folks,

I also have this problem and although it was mentioned it cannot be sent
without appearing as an attachment I have done this for some time now on my
own PC and my bosses PC. Recently I had to change his laptop over and set up
two additional desktop PC's. Since doing this the new signature sends an
attachment (image001.jpg). Please can someone help eliminate this.

I have looked at my own configuration and cannot see any differences to how
I have setup the new users. My boss is now getting frustrated at this so any
help is appreciated.

Thanks,

Derek

Just an update. Everyone who has been trying to resolve this issue of
attached image files in your signature - in c:\documents and
settings\<user>\Application Data\Microsoft\Signatures\<user_files> you should
have an image file called image001 if you have several others backup image001
and delete from this folder and rename the highest numbered image to image001
and this should stop the image appearing as an attachment. If there is only
image001 in this folder edit the signature from the options menu of outlook
and insert the image you want to use this will then be renamed by outlook to
image00x allowing you to follow the above instructions.

Best Wishes,

I was hoping this would work but mine still goes as an attachment. I even
deleted ALL the images and my signature/logo still works the same. Is there
something else?

@Computerdude - How do you "set up HTML code to download the image from that
site, no file attachment required."
