I can send email but cannot receive email in Outlook 2003

When I attempt to receive, it prompts me to enter my password for the SMTP
server. I enter the correct information and I receive:

"Receiving' reported error (0x800CCC92) : 'Your e-mail server rejected your
login. Verify your user name and password in your account properties. Under
Tools, click E-mail accounts. The server responded: -ERR Invalid password or
username"

This is self-explanatory.
You need to check the username and password you are using. Your provider
might be able to assist you.
