how to unlock documents that you have e-mailed on word 2003

i was hoping you could help me how to unlock documents that you have
e-mailed on word 2003. i cant find a way to do it and it is getting annoying.

I think you'll need to provide a bit more detail. Are you saying that after
emailing the document to someone else you are unable to open the original
document? Or that you are unable to open a document that you have received
as an email attachment? Or what?
