How to reset Outlook shortcut on Start menu

Jeff

I reinstalled some Office programs and now the e-mail shortcut on my
Start menu does not open Outlook 2003. Instead, it opens the Internet
Properties window. How can I reset this so that it opens Outlook 2003
again? Thanks.

If this is Windows XP and the special icon at the top of the Start Menu has been corrupted, you can try resetting it through the Start Menu properties. Right-click on an empty space on the Task Bar and select Properties. Then go to the Start Menu tab and click the Customize button. The General tab is where you specify what email program will appear at the top of the Start Menu. Change it to something else and click OK. Test it and see if the other mail program works then go back and reset it to Outlook.
