How to hide Control Panel, or tools in Control Panel

Tony

Hi,

My home Windows XP (Professional edition) computer has several accounts I
set up for each individual family member. Is there a way that I can
customize to hide Control Panel (or tools in Control Panel) in my children
accounts? I need to prevent them to get to Control Panel to change my
settings.

Thanks in advance.

Certainly. Since you have XP Pro, you can apply many fine-grained
permissions and restrictions using Group Policy. To start the Group
Policy Editor, do Start>Run>gpedit.msc [enter]

Be careful with the Group Policy Editor. It is a very powerful tool and
you can lock yourself out if you aren't careful. For questions

Malke,

Thanks for help. I'll do more studies from gpedit.msc.
