How to extract highlighted text from a PDF file

Hi, I am building an application in VB.Net. I need to extract
highlighted text from PDF file.

The text which is highlighted by user and saved..... when I give the
path of that PDF file my application should extract only highlighted
text from that file.

I have no Idea how to do it

Response is highly appriciated
