Why would you want them to only use 1 view? Do they need to be taught to
check which view they are in before they ring you to say "all my email is
missing" because they are in Unread messages view?
If you do this to their Inbox, will it also prevent them from using other
views in their other folders? If so, you're taking some of the most
powerful aspects of Outlook away from them.

This is one of the most draconian policies I've seen... views can help them
be more productive.
if you know the button id, you can remove them - but I think it's a really
bad idea. They'll still be able to change the Messages view - if only
changing the sort orders.
I have to agree with it being draconian which makes me curious, usually
regrettably so: Why do you force your users not to use any other views?
What's the perceived bonus?
I hate my users to use "By Sender" view .. because some senders do not being
response quickly .. I want all of my users use "By Message" view .. so it
will be 1st come 1st served
Then manage the staff. For example, discuss why you need them to work the
way you want them to. If that doesn't work, maybe you should TELL them that
their job is to attend to incoming emails in the order that they arrive.

Unfortunately, they can always change the sort order of the messages view.
Proper training will do more for you in the long run.
