how to copy emails from old disk to new disk?

Philip

I used Win2000 professional in a 20G disk, now I want to
use a new disk with Win2000 Prefessional, but I don't know
how to copy all the received emails in the Outlook Express
6.0 from the old disk to the new disk, because I can not
find where the emails are stored. Any suggestion would be
greatly appreciated.

Hi, Philip -

You will probably get a faster and more expert answer if you post this to an
Outlook Express news group.

Try posting in one of these newsgroups:
microsoft.public.windows.inetexplorer.ie5.outlookexpress for OE 5.x
microsoft.public.windows.inetexplorer.ie55.outlookexpress for OE 5.5x
microsoft.public.windows.inetexplorer.ie6_outlookexpress for OE 6.x
microsoft.public.internet.outlookexpress.mac for OE for Macintosh

If those groups aren't carried on the news server that's carrying this group
try using msnews.microsoft.com (MS's public news server that's the source
for all the microsoft.public newsgroups).

A good website for information on OE is:
http://www.tomsterdam.com/

they are in documents and settings\username\local settings\application data.

let me guess you did not go into folder options to view all files including
hidden files

hi,brad:
I can not find the folder named "local settings" under the
Documents and settings\username(including the hidden
ones). Could you please tell where is it? what is the name
of the files which store the emails? Thanks a lot!

Philip
