How SNDREC32 play a new WAV file before old WAV finished?

QUESTION: How can I stop the first WAV sound playing with SNDREC32
and get it to play another WAV file?

----------------

Here are some details of my situation:

I want to hear WAV files without waiting for Media Player to launch.
So I used the info in an old Usenet thread to create a file
association setting for .WAV files.

USENET THREAD:
http://snipurl.com/ih09

MY WAV FILE ASSOCIATION SETTING:
"Hear" command = sndrec32.exe /embedding /Play "%L" /Close

If a WAV file goes on for too long then I would like to play another
WAV file instead. If I double click another WAV then I get this
message:

"Another application is playing audio. You can
either interrupt the application or wait until
it is done. Then try using Sound Recorder again."

The only button on that message box says 'OK'. So it seems I have no
way to stop the first sound other than something drastic like using
Task Manager to kill SNDREC32.

I would like to know how I can stop playing the first WAV sound with
SNDREC32 and get it to play another WAV file.

Bob, the way I have got it configured, SNDREC32 does *not* display
itself. So there are no buttons to press. :-(

Well then you will need to open it. Start, Run, SNDREC32, OK or look in
the Accessories folder of Programs. Or r-click that Shortcut in
Acessories and put a copy on the Desktop.
