How does one insert a ".tif" picture into a Word document?

I can insert a ".jpg" picture into a Word document, but I recently tried to
insert a ".tif" picture and had a problem. A list of options for
"translating" it came up and I didn't know which to select. Anybody know?

Or, could I change the ".tif" picture to a ".jpg" picture? How?

Or, anybody have other suggestions?

Go to MSPaint and save it as a jpeg. Then "insert picture"

If you were using Insert | Picture | From File and Word was choking on it,
then perhaps you haven't installed all the available graphics filters. Note,
however, that there are many flavors of TIFs, and there are reportedly some
that Word doesn't like.

If it is a case that your TIF files are incompatible with Word, try
downloading the free IrfanView which will let you convert graphics between
formats.
