How do you get rid of "The workbook you opened contains automatic links to information..."?

Sometimes the message "The workbook you opened contains automatic
links to information in another workbook. Do you want to update this
workbook with changes made to the other workbook?" pops up.
When you don't need to update, you can just click No and move on, but
how do you cancel the links for one and all so that this message does
not pop up the next time you open the workbook?

This is an add-in called Find Links. It can be used to find and remove
external links in workbooks. Once the external links are removed the
message will no longer appear.

Hi Dan,
Go to EDIT>LINKS. In the dialog box a complete list of all externa
links are listed. Select one and then select BREAK LINK. Do this fo
each link listed and the troublesome dialog box will go away

DJ Kim,
Those links are found under EDIT>Links. Open the workbook giving you
the update message, then go to EDIT>LINKS. The dialog box contains a
list of all external links. Select a link and then hit the "BREAK LINK"
option button. Repeat for all links within the list.
Word of warning, those links did not get there by accident. Make sure
you are not messing something up. If the Workbook is yours then there's
nothing to worry about.

To install:
Tools -> Add-ins
On the pop-up menu hit <Browse>
Navigate to the location you saved the add-in to, select it and hit <OK>
Ensure that the new add-in appears in the add-ins list, make sure it is
selected and hit <OK> (It's "Find/delete links")

To use:
From the Tools menu select Find Links

On the pop-up that appears you will see a dropdown containing the names
of all the external workbooks which your book has references to. You can
choose to remove the links to each workbook seperately OR to remove all
links choose ".XLS". The radio buttons allow you customize the removal
and message recieved for removals of the embedded links.
