How do you add a definition for a new word?

I use Word 2003 from Office 2003. I added an antiquated word into my spell
checker. I want to add its definition and then use the thesaurus for it if
possible. So then, it would be a CUSTOMIZED word.

But most of all, I want to add what that word's definition is for future
reference. How would I do that? I have already read how to add a medical
terminology dictionery, but that does not address this question. THANK YOU
FOR ANY HELP YOU CAN GIVE TO ME! karen

You can change your dictionary to "Custom" instead of Standard (or other).
This just means it will not be seen as a misspelled word, but it is not
atuomatically added to the Thesaurus, nor is the definition. What you want
might be available through a Third Party software, from Microsoft or
elsewhere. It might be available in education related sites.
