How do I setup a VPN (PPTP) connection to use braodband

Hi,

I use ADSL broadband for Internet access and need to
establish a VPN (PPTP) connection with a remote server,
and later on possibly a PPTP enabled firewall. When
finished running the Network Connection Wizzard with
Connect to a private network through the Internet I am
only able to select a dial-up connection.

I have been able to successfuly connect to the server
using a dial-up connection, so I know PPTP is functioning
correctly, but being connected for a couple of hours will
make for a large phone bill.

How can I setup the connection to use broadband ??
