First, you got the wrong newsgroup. This one is for "access", which is part
of the office suite.
In fact, even asking your question in a word group might not help. In fact,
you have to ask your scanner manufacture, and likely what software was
included.
Most OCR software has a "ocr to word" option.
So, check your software that came with the scanner, as this ability is not a
really a word question, but a question of what kind of scanner you have
(there is 100's in the marketplace.
Some come with software that allows conversion to word, some don't, so ask
your scanner people, or the people that make your scanning software.
