How do I get a read receipt w/attachments? (read receipts is on)

Let's say I scanned in a document, and from where I saved the file I say
"send to mail recipient as attachment".
When I do this and send it of, I don't get a read receipt, while it is set
up, and I do get them when I send a message without attachment or when I
create a new message in Outlook and attach directly from here.
Can this be changed??

You've go it set as default? You don't set it for the individual item?

Unfortunately the mailto from Windows XP doesn't initiate Outlook in full
but only a very limited subset of it. For instance your default signature
isn't added either and it will always launch in Plain Text. You'll have to
set the receipt manually. No option to change this behavior.
