How do I enter type in front of embeded flash in powerpoint

I have successfully embeded a flash (swf) animation in my powerpoint
presentation, which is great. However, I don't seem to be able to make
powerpoint type appear in front of the animation. Even when I right click on
the swf animation and select order/send to back in the way I can with a jpeg
image. Any suggestions
