how do i email w/ recip's name showing but not address showing?

How do I send an email to a recipient with only the display name showing but
without the email address showing?

I did a test to myself...
In Outlook, it worked, showing only the display name...
In Hotmail, it didn't work, I'm getting both the display name AND the email
address in parenthesis.

Help.

When you send a message, the To: field must contain an email address,
and may contain a display name. What and how this will show at the
recipient's side is entirely up to the recipient's email client and
settings. There is nothing you can do about this on the sending side.

You can hide *both* email address and display name completely by using
the Bcc: field.
