How do I change lots of Recurring appointments to Recurring events

P

Pulu

I am using Off 2007. If you look at the view for recurring appointments and
select a couple of them, you can right-click and change the catagory in one
go for all selected. How can I also change a lot of recurring appointments to
recurring annual events in one go without recreating them one by one.

Appointments = timed
Events = all day

You'll need to either open each item and make it all day or drag it to the
top of the day, into the all day event area. You can hold Shift as you
select items then r-click drag to the all day area to move several at once.

Hi Diane,

Thanks for the prompt response.
The drag option only moved the current occurence and not the series.
I could not find the option of making it an all day event after opening the
entry.

Any other advice

For recurring events, you need to go into the recurrences tab and change the
time to make it all day. Set the start time to 12 am and the duration to 1
day.

Thanks, I ended up changing them one by one..... :)
Maybe you can put a future enhancement so that Recurring appointments can be
changed into events or meetings and vise versa on a right-click like the
catagories.

We can close this post now...thanks.

It doesn't come up often enough so I don't see it being added to the r-click
menu - all that is likely to do is cause people to accidently make the
change and lead to more support calls.
