how can I use outlook in a Wifi Location

Meg

i just got a laptop and am using windows XP and Outlook 2003. i have a
wireless card and when i am in a hotel or coffee shop , i am unable to send
emails. I realize that this is because the SMTP settings are for my
provider at home. (i have a wireless network) ...Is there any way that i can
override those settings when i am out in the world of WIFI

thanks
Meg

If you can authenticate to your ISP/provider's SMTP server, they may let you
relay through it no matter where you are. This is probably the easiest
option....

What does that mean....they won't let you use authenticated relay from any
connection?
You might check out something like MailHop Outbound at www.dyndns.org
