I want to be able to burn CDs with a powerpoint 2003 presentation and ensure
that whatever machine they are opened on will support all the animation and
other features on the original presentation.

TCA,

There's no guarantee 100% that your CD will run on all machines.

If you package the NEW powerpoint viewer, then there is a very good change
it will run on most Windows Computers with all the new animated working as
your see them in powerpoint 2003.

Have you considered making the CD 'autorun', so that it runs automatically
when the CD is inserted?

Not really possible. As TAJ says, if you create a CD that uses the new
PowerPoint 2003 Viewer, it should work on a lot of the computers out there, so
long as they run Windows 98SE or later. No support for Windows 98
(StraightNoChaser, plain, no SE), or for Win95. Nor NT4 I'm pretty sure.

Nor Macs of any flavor.

In addition to what TAJ and Steve have said, use PowerPoint's File > Package
for CD. You don't need additional software.
